I have lived on a small creek for seven years and never really thought about fishing it until I spotted a large fish swimming by. This creek is literally 60' from my back porch. I bought some 6" Creme Lure worms and on my second cast, I was hooked into this fellow.
The sun was almost down and it was getting dark fast. The hook was too deep down his throat to retrieve so I decided that if he was going to die anyway I might as well enjoy something I haven't had since I was in high school. Garlic-lime baked bass! Delicious.
I have since seen lots of bluegill, gar and of course more decent bass now that I am looking for them. Wish I would have started casting that creek seven years ago.
Tight lines fellow fishermen.
